Medior Account Manager at [Company Name]

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands Employment Type: Full-time, hybrid (office + field) Reports to: Head of Sales / Country Manager

Works closely with: Business Development Managers, Field Managers, Field Executives, Operations & Support

Dear candidate,

My name is [Founder Name] and I am the founder of [Company Name]. I have personally crafted this job description, since I believe in the importance of honesty and connection between the whole team.

[Company Name] is a start-up in its scaling phase. We are a power bank sharing company with more than 600 locations across the Netherlands and Spain. A customer can rent a power bank in a bar, restaurant, mall, airport, or venue and return it at any other [Company Name] station across the country.

I personally value speed, honesty, simplicity and focus on results. We are only looking for ambitious people that are ready to take on ownership. We are customer oriented and our goal is to help millions of people with low battery stress across Europe.

We are looking for an Account Manager to own and grow our existing partner portfolio, ensure high performance of locations, make our partners happy and coordinate cross-functional execution across sales and field teams.

Role Mission

Own partner success after onboarding. Your mission is to retain, grow, and scale revenue from existing [Company Name] partners, while ensuring that stations are operationally strong, KPIs are met, and all involved teams execute flawlessly. This role sits at the intersection of client management, revenue growth, operations coordination, and performance control.

What you will do

  1. Partner Account Ownership & Client Support Own a portfolio of active [Company Name] partner locations (HoReCa, retail, hotels, malls, chains). Be the primary point of contact for partners after installation:

  • handle operational, technical, logistical, and organizational questions

  • explain pricing, payouts, revenue share, reports and performance metrics

  • resolve issues quickly and professionally in coordination with Field and Support teams

Build long-term, trust-based relationships with venue owners, managers, and HQ representatives.

  1. Revenue Growth, Upsell & Account Development Continuously grow revenue from existing accounts:

  • upsell additional stations within the same venue

  • expand into additional locations of the same partner or chain

  • initiate station upgrades, relocations or premium placements

  • propose promotions, pilots or network-wide rollouts

Identify underperforming locations and turn them around through better placement, additional hardware, or operational fixes. Own net revenue growth of your account portfolio.

  1. Performance Monitoring & KPI Management
Monitor and analyze performance of all assigned locations:

  • rentals per station

  • revenue and revenue trends

  • station uptime and availability

  • early performance after installation

  • need for maintenance, relocation or expansion

Proactively flag risks and opportunities and turn insights into actions. Maintain accurate account data and performance tracking in CRM / internal dashboards.

  1. Coordination of Field & Business Development Teams
Coordinate and supervise execution across field and sales teams for your accounts: align with Business Development Representatives on expansion opportunities, manage Field Executives and Field Managers on installations, relocations and fixes, track task completion, SLA adherence and execution quality, ensure new stations go live smoothly and reach time-to-first-rent quickly. You do not install stations yourself, but you own the result.

  2. Process Improvement & Feedback Loop
Collect structured feedback from partners and the field:

  • product issues

  • UX and pricing concerns

  • operational bottlenecks

  • competitive insights

Translate real-world feedback into clear inputs for management, product, pricing and operations teams. Help improve internal playbooks, standards and partner communication materials.
